Fair terms for creative work.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using GET SCORE, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you are using the app for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Licence and pre-release status

Joseph Manton grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use GET SCORE on supported devices for lawful music-notation work, subject to the applicable app-store rules. Pre-release features may be incomplete, changed, suspended or removed.

3. Your scores and content

You retain ownership of the scores, text, annotations, recordings and other content you create or import. You grant only the limited permission needed for GET SCORE and the storage provider you select to process that content to save, synchronize, render, play, import or export it at your direction.

You are responsible for having the rights to content you import, share or distribute, and for maintaining appropriate backups. GET SCORE does not acquire publishing, performance or composition rights in your music.

4. Cloud providers and third-party services

Optional Google Drive and Dropbox sync is also governed by the provider's terms. Availability can be affected by the provider, network access, account settings or authorization changes. GET SCORE is not responsible for a third party's service, but will use reasonable care in its own integration.

5. Responsible use

You must not use GET SCORE to:

• violate law or another person's intellectual-property, privacy or contractual rights;
• circumvent security, access controls or service limits;
• introduce malicious code or interfere with the app or its services;
• misrepresent affiliation with GET SCORE or Joseph Manton; or
• reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

6. Professional review

Music engraving, conversion, playback and automated layout can involve artistic and technical judgement. You remain responsible for reviewing scores, parts, page turns, transpositions, playback and exported files before rehearsal, publication, performance or delivery to a client.

7. Intellectual property

GET SCORE's software, branding, interface and documentation are owned by Joseph Manton or used under licence. Open-source components remain governed by their own licence notices. These terms do not transfer ownership of GET SCORE itself to you.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, pre-release GET SCORE is provided “as is” and “as available” without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every professional purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer guarantee or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, Joseph Manton is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data arising from use of GET SCORE. Any aggregate liability that may lawfully be limited will not exceed the amount you paid for GET SCORE during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using GET SCORE at any time. Access to online services may be suspended where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, address abuse or maintain security. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, subject to any mandatory rights under the law where you live. Questions can be sent to joemanton@gmail.com.
