Privacy policy

Your music is your data.

This policy explains what GET SCORE processes, why it is needed, and the choices you retain. GET SCORE is currently pre-release software.

Last updated 25 August 2026

Plain-language summary.

GET SCORE works locally without an account. It does not currently contain advertising or third-party analytics. Optional Google Drive and Dropbox connections are used only when you choose them for personal score sync.

1. Who is responsible

GET SCORE is developed by Joseph Manton in New South Wales, Australia. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to joemanton@gmail.com.

2. Information GET SCORE processes

Scores and project data

The app stores the music and project information you create, including notation, text, layout, instrument settings, annotations and editing history required by a project. By default, this data remains on your device.

Optional cloud-sync information

If you connect Google Drive or Dropbox, GET SCORE processes your provider account email as an on-device account label, authorization credentials, provider file identifiers and the GET SCORE project library needed to synchronize your devices. OAuth credentials are stored using secure system storage on your device.

Support communications

If you contact support, the information you include in your email is used to answer the request and maintain an appropriate support record. Please do not send passwords, authorization tokens or unnecessary sensitive material.

Website request data

The hosting and network providers serving this website may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp and security signals to deliver and protect the site. GET SCORE does not place advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies on this website.

3. Google user data

When you choose Google Drive sync, GET SCORE requests the narrow drive.appdata permission. This allows the app to view and manage only GET SCORE's hidden application-data area in your Google Drive. It does not grant access to browse your ordinary Drive files.

GET SCORE uses this access only to upload, download, reconcile and delete its private synchronization document at your direction. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or disclosed to unrelated third parties. Access is not used to train generalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. GET SCORE's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. Dropbox data

When you choose Dropbox sync, GET SCORE requests account-information and file permissions limited to its Dropbox App Folder. It uses them to identify the connected account and synchronize GET SCORE's private project-library document. It does not browse files outside that App Folder.

5. Sharing and service providers

Data is sent to Google or Dropbox only when you connect that provider. Apple, Google, Dropbox, Cloudflare and the website hosting provider may process limited information under their own terms when they supply device, distribution, authentication, storage, network or hosting services. GET SCORE does not sell personal information.

Cross-user collaboration is not currently a production service. Personal Google Drive and Dropbox connections are not silently treated as permission to share a score with another person.

6. Retention, security and deletion

Local project data remains until you delete it or remove the app, subject to device backups. Cloud project data remains in the provider account until removed through GET SCORE or the provider's controls. Disconnecting a cloud account revokes or discards the app's local authorization where supported; it does not necessarily delete already-synchronized project data.

GET SCORE uses platform secure storage for authorization credentials, defensive document limits and recoverable local writes. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Use GET SCORE locally without connecting Google Drive or Dropbox.
  • Disconnect either provider from the app and revoke access in the provider account.
  • Delete local scores or provider data using the available app and account controls.
  • Ask for access, correction or deletion of support information held directly by Joseph Manton.

Additional rights may apply under the law where you live. Identity may need to be verified before completing a request.

8. Children and international processing

GET SCORE is a general music-creation tool and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. A parent, guardian, school or organisation should supervise account connections where required. Service providers may process data in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards.

9. Policy changes

This policy will be updated when GET SCORE's production features or data practices materially change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the app or this website when appropriate.
